The Plane

A nicely restored Aeronca L16 (7BCM) currently located at Fox Field in Lancaster, CA at the Milestones of Flight Museum. This two seat aircraft was built in late 1947 and was used by the Civil Air Patrol in New Orleans. It has since been upgraded with a larger 108 hp Lycoming O-235 engine (the original was 85 hp), electric starter, radio, transponder and lights, among other things. The engine has recently been overhauled and we plan to almost double the time on it during the flight back!
